NextSay listens beside your call
NextSay runs in a browser on your laptop or your phone and listens through that device’s microphone while you talk. The call itself happens wherever it normally does — Zoom, Teams, a phone call, or face to face. NextSay never joins it.
Which device do I use?
Both can run on the same computer: on a Zoom call, just keep NextSay in another tab on that laptop. Because it listens through a microphone, the other person’s voice has to play out loud — speakers, never headphones. Only a phone call needs a second device, since one phone can’t carry the call and run NextSay: put it on speaker and open NextSay on your laptop. In person, open NextSay on your phone and set it on the table.
The steps in NextSay
Begin 1–2 minutes before your call — the setup takes about that long.
- Tap Live AssistantOn Home, alongside Meeting Notes and Schedule.
- Allow the microphoneYour browser asks the first time. NextSay can’t hear anything without it.
- Tap Start nowThe Start Live Assistant panel opens here. Any session you scheduled earlier is listed above it — tap that instead to skip the setup.
- Fill in the setupConversation type, Industry / context, Your role, Goal, Expected length. Your role and your goal are what steer every cue — they are the difference between generic advice and advice for this deal.
- Add your contextExtra context is for anything that sharpens the guidance: history with this person, past promises, budget or timing limits. Add context attaches your pricing or terms, so when they push on price the cues use your real numbers instead of guessing.
- Tap Start Live AssistantWatch the transcript start moving — that’s how you know NextSay is hearing the room.
- Make or join your callTalk exactly as you normally would.
- Tap End, then confirmEnd session now? asks before it stops — tap Yes. Your transcript and summary are saved automatically.
Meeting Notes is shorter — it records straight away. Tap it, allow the microphone, and it is running. No Start now, no setup, and no cues; you get the transcript and summary.
Planning ahead? Use the Schedule tile, or tap Save scheduled session in the setup. It appears under Upcoming sessions — at call time tap Start there and skip setup entirely.

The session keeps running whichever one you’re on — switching never pauses recording.
Live Assistant
Where the cues appear. NEXT MOVE is what to say now; KEY SIGNALS is what they’re really telling you. Cards show only when there’s something worth interrupting for, so quiet stretches are normal.
Transcript
The conversation as it’s captured, live. This is where you confirm both voices are being heard.
Ask NextSay + Notes
Ask NextSay answers questions mid-call from three places: the conversation so far, the documents you attached, and the web — ask it to look something up and it searches. Notes is your own private scratchpad, saved with the session.
You can leave the session screen entirely and it keeps recording. If nothing is said for 10 minutes it asks whether to continue, and ends and saves at 12. Meeting Notes shows only Transcript and Ask NextSay + Notes — there are no cues.
When something looks wrong
Only your side is in the transcript
The microphone can’t hear them. Take off headphones, turn on speakerphone, or move the device closer.
Nothing is transcribing
Microphone access is blocked. Allow it in your browser’s site settings, then start the session again.
No cards are appearing
Usually normal — NextSay stays quiet unless a cue is worth the interruption. If the transcript is also empty, it’s the microphone.
Opened from a Facebook or Instagram link
Those open their own built-in browser, which can’t reach the microphone. Tap Open in browser when prompted, or paste the link into Safari or Chrome.
Both voices in the transcript, in the first minute
That one glance tells you the microphone is reaching the whole conversation. Everything else depends on it.
